Growing hops at home is easy and can yield great rewards. For starters it is one more aspect of the brewing process that the brewer can control. Furthermore, rhizomes are fairly inexpensive ($4 - $6 a rhizome) and each rhizome produces a .5 lbs - 2 lbs of dried hop cones each season. Personally, growing hops is a way to make my beer personal. Brewing my beer, with my hops.
